Free weekend parking at Mall of Emirates, Deira City Centre

Dubai: Parking at Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre will be free at the weekends (Friday and Saturday) and free parking during weekdays has been extended to four hours. The free trial period of the system has also been extended until Saturday, 3rd October.

Starting Sunday, October 4, the first four hours of parking will be free on weekdays. Parking beyond four hours on weekdays will be charged at the rate of AED 20 for every additional hour for the next three hours. Parking at both malls will be free on weekends.

Research by Al Futtaim group, with figures based on industry research, showed that on an average 70 per cent of shoppers spend three hours or less in malls on weekdays.

On weekdays, customers are urged to validate their parking tickets before they leave the malls. The validated tickets then need to be inserted into the machine at the exit barrier. Courtesy parking crews continue to be stationed around both the malls to help customers adapt to the new system.
