Dubai: "Human beings are not meant to fall ill," - a sweeping statement, but that's what the head of an alternative healing centre has to say.
Pranic healing or energy medicine uses prana (life force) to harmonise and transform the body's energy processes, said Prakash Balgopal, Manager of Pranic Energy Healing Centre in Dubai.
Pranic healing is a simple no-touch energy healing method developed by Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui. It is based on the fundamental principle that the body is a self-repairing living entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself.
Every human being's energy field or aura is unique and a defect in this field will be reciprocated in the physical body, said Balgopal.
So, in simple terms, if the aura is fixed, the same happens to the physical body.
A.N.*, an emotionally-disturbed Western woman, was both mentally and physically stable after undergoing Pranic-healing sessions. She has been going to the centre for the past eight months. "You have to experience it to understand," she said.
S.H.*, a woman from south India, also shares the same experience. She took her husband who had emotional issues, and these were tackled through two Pranic-healing sessions.
The soothing music that invites visitors to the centre or the variety of philosophy books that line up on the shelves could put off a sceptic, but delve deep and you could find a different world of healing and cure.
Prakash said the centre has been able to cure almost 90 per cent of cases that come to them. Yes, you probably have to see it to believe.
