Abu Dhabi (WAM) Bosnia's ambassador to the UAE, Radomir Kosic, held talks with UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) officials on humanitarian operations undertaken in his country by the organisation.
During the meeting with Sana'a Al Kitbi, adviser to Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the RCA, on Thursday, Kosic requested assistance from the RCA's open heart surgery team to treat a large number of underprivileged heart patients in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Briefing RCA officials about the humanitarian situation in his country, Kosic said healthcare plans presented a huge challenge due to the presence of large number of refugees who had fled the conflict in the Balkans. He hailed the humanitarian support the UAE has been extending to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Al Kitbi assured Kosic of all help. "RCA would spare no effort to help out patients and the most vulnerable groups in Bosnia," she said.
