Main roles and responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the Crewing Assistant - Topaz Marine, involve the responsibility for day to day monitoring of the Crew movement and to ensure that all procedures as per the company QMSM are taken care of in a structured fashion including but not limited to the following: - To assist and help the Crewing Coordinator to ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company -s Procedures and Policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code and the ISO 9001 -2000 Standard. - To assist the Crewing Coordinator to ensure that all Sea Staff onboard Topaz Fleet comply with the Company Health, Safety and Environmental and Drug and Alcohol Policies. - To ensure all personnel files of the sea staff are kept up to date as the QSMS and any deficiency brought to the notice of the Crewing Coordinator. - To ensure all Competency certificates, medical certificate and training records of the candidates are up to date and recorded. - To ensure that all sea staff have a continuous Appraisal plan and the status of appraisals for all sea staff is maintained accurately for audit purposes. - To maintain and update the vessels daily reports and file relevant correspondence as received for the clients. - To maintain and update the Travel Log on a daily basis. - Should be familiar with Offshore Support vessels with min 2 - 3 year -s experience. - Very organized, able to multi task, willing to work flexible hours, can cope well under pressure, good attention to detail. - Excellence in interpersonal, communication and planning skills. - Computer literate and - Can work with multi -culture environment.
