Expediting Manager : Jobmax

Description :

An Expediting Manager has responsibility to direct, coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of all expediting functions and services to ensure timely delivery of materials to projects, and to manage all personnel activities in support of these operations. To develop the resources within budgets in order to meet projected workload.

- Develop, maintain and implement expediting procedures, policies, plans, and manage all personnel activities in support of these activities.

- Coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of status reporting for all assigned projects and participate in promptly resolving any contractual dispute vendors in company's premises where appropriate, or at vendors location.

- Coordinate and supervise the evaluation of vendors performance in collaboration with the relevant procurement managers and participate in the formalities for inclusion, retention, upgrade or deletion of vendors from master vendor list.

- Direct and coordinate all expediting activities from release of purchase orders to final payment of vendors invoices. Manage payment of vendors invoices to ensure their continuity.

- Manage, coordinate and monitor the expediting services and develop the resourcing plan in anticipation of projected workload within allocated budgets.

- Direct and control the selection, performance, training and development of all Expediting personnel.

- Develop team goals and manage achievement of goals on a regular basis; Administer the system of team performance measures; track all measurement data; provide feedback to team members and Management on overall performance.

- Assist in the development of project procurement plan and other associated documentation required as part of project execution plan.

- Liaise with Project Expediting Managers, Project Managers, and other departmental managers to resolve any technical or administrative challenges and improve the performance of the expediting department.

- Represent the expediting department in management meetings.

- Implement health and safety procedures.

-related duties as assigned by Procurement Director.Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical) plus 12 years of relevant experience in the construction and engineering or Oil and Gas industries. A minimum of 5 years in an equal role and have managed and coordinated relatively large scale activities and supervised a team of managers. An experience in supply chain is an added value.
