Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend Dubai International Jewellery Week which will stage the finest jewellery showcase yet, with precious gems from around the globe, one-off collector’s items and trendsetting designs. Renowned for its exclusive show offers and keenly anticipated by jewellery lovers across the region, the exhibition is also the perfect platform for jewellery manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers to showcase, network, exchange knowledge and conduct business.
The most prestigious consumer and trade event of its kind in the Middle East, Dubai International Jewellery Week, synonymous with luxury and fine jewellery, will run from 7 - 10 October 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
This year’s event will feature over 300 exhibitors from 27 countries, resulting in a truly global collection of jewellery pieces and industry expertise. Ten country pavilions will group exhibitors into their national clusters, providing a different way to shop and compare country specialties. Countries new to the exhibition this year include France, Greece, Iran, Myanmar, Netherlands, Peru, Qatar and Tanzania.
International celebrity jeweler Meira T, whose creations have been worn by Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley and Sheryl Crow, will be unveiling her new collection during the show, along with many of the region’s premium jewelers including Arts & Gems, Dhamani Jewels, and Mahallati, offering consumers a world of choice and unrivalled preferential offers.
“Dubai International Jewellery Week is the definitive jewellery event of the year for consumers and exhibitors alike. Dubai International Jewellery Week will also offer an exciting line-up of visitor attractions, including an Art of Jewellery photo exhibition by design magazine Desert Fish, an invaluable Diamond Discovery Workshop and luxurious spa treatments that include diamond dust provided by the Natura Bisse Diamond Spa, InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City. Visitors will also have the opportunity to win an array of prizes, including a wedding makeover worth AED 10,000 from the Bridal Makeover by Faye James, as well as a pre-wedding photo shoot worth AED 3,400 from renowned photographer Darrin James.
The glittering display of creations from winners of the Jewellery Design competition is a must-visit feature which will showcase designs from the hottest new talent in the region. For VIP guests and exhibitors, the exclusive invitation only Platinum Lounge is the perfect place to view jewellery pieces in a relaxed and private setting or nurture important business relationships.
In keeping with its position as the must attend industry event of the year, Dubai International Jewellery Week will host a series of seminars and workshops, for industry professionals to share best practice and discuss the latest developments in the field, plus a host of engaging seminars.

Dubai International Jewellery Week runs from Thursday the 7th to Sunday the 10th of October 2010 and is open between 4pm and 10pm each day. The exhibition will be held at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, 2, and 3 in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sheikh Zayed Rd.
