The S&S Art Society of Lucknow (India) has launched its 1st International Photography Competetion – FOTEX. The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers, and photo journalists. Fotex is an initiative to honor the people who see the world through the lens. It has envisioned to create a platform for amateur and professional photographers around the world. Clicks not only capture an image, but, also emotions. Every picture has got a story to tell!
S&S Arts Society Chairman, Saleem Siddiqi said, “the activity aims to align creative experiments and professional approach with a purpose to enrich the photography culture.”
Fotex President, Abid Saleem, Gold Medalist-PSA (Photographic Society of America) expects participation from more than 20 countries and individuals from different spheres of life which will augment the competition and add excitement.
The competition is divided in 4 Sections: Color-Projected Images, Nature, Landscape and Special Theme. Special Theme section consists of 'New Year' & 'Love'. Fotex philosophy, 'Art speaks the language of Oneness' has led to these themes. The world today is in dire need of being united against all odds. Love is the only feeling that can connect us, and a New Year is the best time to take this step. With this hope, we await creative signals from each corner of the globe, he added.
Fotex President-Abid and Joint Secretary-Nasir are ex-students of International Indian School Jeddah. They have announced free entries for IISJ students as a homage to their school. Whereas, the entry fee is $20(single section) and $30(all-sections).
