Turkish Airlines Offers Istanbul Transit Passengers Complimentary City Tours And Hotel Accommodation

Dubai, UAE,  9th December 2009: Turkish Airlines passengers with connecting flights in Istanbul will be offered a complimentary city tour if time between flights permits. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the historical sights of a city that has hosted major civilizations of the world, and the many magnificent traces that each of them has left. To arrange the tour, upon arrival at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, transit passengers are to visit the Turkish Airlines hotel desk and will then be collected by a private guide.

In addition to the city tour, passengers arriving in Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines international flight and continuing on to another destination outside of Turkey will be offered courtesy hotel accommodation. The duration of the lay-over in Istanbul must be over 7 hours for Business Class passengers and 10 hours for those travelling Economy Class, and the continuing flight must be the first scheduled connection.

“Turkey is a beautiful country combining history, rich culture and modern-day attractions, and we wish to share this with those travelling with us. Facilitating cultural exchanges and bridging ties between travelers is the best way to increase awareness about Turkey and its offerings, and this is the idea behind making available the city tours to transit passengers. The hotel accommodation offered to lay-over passengers is simply for ease of travel and convenience, and going that one step further for our guests,” said Ayse Mirza, Turkish Airlines Abu Dhabi Director.

These promotions are valid for an unlimited period of time.
