New site serves over 40,000 residents in Khorfakkan, Sharjah
Dubai, September 29, 2009: Tasjeel has opened its new vehicle testing and registration centre in Khorfakkan, managed by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) in collaboration with Sharjah Police.
The new site of Tasjeel covers 250 square metres and includes a wide range of facilities that allow customers to complete the vehicle testing and registration process swiftly. The centre also has an EPPCO service station, “Mini Mart” convenience store, insurance booth, document typing booth and number plate factory.
Ayas Bin Hendi, General Manager of Tasjeel, said: “The launch of the Khorfakkan site reinforces our commitment to providing value-added services for our customers. The new centre will serve over 40,000 residents.”
The Khorfakkan site is the seventh branch of the privatised Tasjeel vehicle testing and registration stations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. It has a capacity to serve over 100 vehicles a day. Other locations include Al Qusais, Al Barsha, Al Aweer, Warsan, Sharjah Auto Village and Jebel Ali.
“We thank Sharjah Police for their collaboration on this site. It builds on the close partnership between Sharjah Police and Tasjeel since the opening of the Tasjeel Auto Village in Sharjah in 2006, which is the largest auto testing and registration site in the Middle East,” Bin Hendi added.
Currently, Tasjeel Khorfakkan centre working hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, from Saturday to Thursday. The test fee is AED 100, renewal of registration costs AED 125, and registration fees for a new vehicle range from AED 285 to AED 300.
Tasjeel's eighth site at Hatta, Dubai is also scheduled to open its doors during October and its facilities are similar to those available at Tasjeel Khorfakkan centre.
