DUBAI (March 23, 2014) – The culinary team at Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach Residence, located at one of Dubai`s most exclusive locations, earned several awards at the Emirates Salon Culinaire 2014 held in conjunction with Gulfood 2014.
The chefs had an opportunity to test their abilities and to demonstrate to the public and their colleagues their artistic acumen and practical skills, earning one silver and several bronze medals and certificates under the leadership of executive chef, Romuald Marie.
The Emirates Salon Culinaire (ESC) is one of the biggest culinary competitions of the Middle East for professional chefs, pastry chefs and bakers. This year`s competition took place over four days from February 23-27, 2014, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The competition included 1,500 professional chefs from 126 hotels throughout the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Taiwan, China and Saudi Arabia.

The award-winning chefs delight customers with their culinary masterpieces in several food and beverage outlets throughout the hotel: in Fogueira Restaurant, the first Brazilian Churrascaria of Dubai; Speakeasy Bar & Restaurant, a 1920`s prohibition era American bar; and Shores, which is an all-day-dining international restaurant.
The hotel organised a reception in honour of the winning kitchen team, to recognise their achievement and celebrate their success.
